The challenge was to create a mobile 3D puzzle game in the color sort puzzle genre with an alchemical setting, simple controls and hundreds of levels of varying difficulty.

Our solution
To implement the idea, we created a full-fledged project from game design to publication. The main focus was on ease of control and a variety of levels.
- Game design. We built the logic of the puzzle: liquids can only be poured according to certain rules (same color + sufficient test tube volume). We added levels with timers and move limits, as well as “hidden liquids” that open after pouring. This made the gameplay more dynamic.
- Programming. We developed a mobile application for Android with the ability to work both online and offline. We implemented smooth animation of pouring and a system of level complexity (increasing the number of colors and test tubes).
- Visuals and UX. We created 3D graphics in the alchemist’s lab: test tubes, colored liquids, interface elements. The gameplay is as intuitive as possible – control is carried out with one touch.
- Content and monetization. We set up hundreds of unlockable levels. Added internal rewards (gold for progress). Also, over time, we released updates with new levels and corrections.
This is how we got a product that stands out among similar games thanks to the atmosphere of alchemy and additional mechanics. This combination of simplicity and challenge ensures that players are attracted to it.
Result
Players got a free 3D puzzle that combines simplicity and intellectual challenge:
- hundreds of levels with gradual complexity;
- different modes: with a time limit, with hidden layers of liquid, with a limited number of moves;
- the ability to play online and offline;
- intuitive controls and an exciting visual style;
- regular updates with new levels.
Alchemist: Sort Tube Puzzle 3D became a game that trains memory, logic and at the same time creates a feeling of an “alchemical experiment”.
Conclusion
The project covered all stages – from game design to publishing the game. As a result, we have created a mobile product that stands out among similar “color sort” games due to its alchemy atmosphere, 3D visuals and advanced mechanics.
